Following her memorable work in France, and Italy, Dewey expanded her series of paintings to include the full, rich, and inspiring beauty of Spain. For her first series in this country, she avoided the tempting sights and popularity of the coastal regions. Instead, she traveled through the interior, visiting both large cities and small villages, capturing along the way, the unique and ancient settlements and sights that exist throughout this magnificent country.
